The world is segregated and most humans are not willing to accept the mutants that the Kraang introduced to their society, New York is no exception and the turtles learn this the hard way as they try to survive as second class citizens in the big apple.  Much like the segregation between the races that was put to an end in the 20th century.  I don't own the TMNT although that would be awesome, I am so not cool enough for that so I satisfy myself by writing fanfiction.All Rights Reserved
