I swore and was almost certain I didn't have any more air to breathe, it had all evaporated once my sight set on her. The last time I'd seen the brunette, she was only sixteen, a month shy of her seventeenth birthday. I'd thought she'd been beautiful at sixteen, now... Breathe, McCord! Breathe! I kept having to remind myself as she came to a stop in front of me.
Bending over at the waist as she tried to catch her breath, I watched as she held onto her sides, holding up a finger and taking big deep breaths. Once her breathing was under control... somewhat... She stood up straight and smiled at me. I felt the air leave my lungs once again.
