The criminal syndicate groups all around the Pokemon world have united for a mission of Pokemon liberation.  This has caused war to erupt in all regions- no place is safe. Where one grunt falls another seems to simply take its place, and hope is floundering. 

Ever since her younger years Kaya Williams, better known by her alias Acadia Bright, has been surrounded by a family torn apart by war. Her father and brother are soldiers, and her mother is a nurse. She moved from the Kanto region hoping to escape the battles, only to learn that Johto was also in chaos. 

12-year old Kaya eventually meets a young Houndour, one of the only survivors of a mysterious fire strike against a battle field not too far from her home.
