Ever since Ricky's Mother died, his Stepfather and Stepbrothers have treated him as a slave. When the Prince invites everyone in the land to a ball to find a potential wife or husband, Ricky is banned from going. With the help of his animal friends, he escapes his attic prison and gets to the ball. When the Prince sees him, both men are smitten.
