Violet and Athena are faeries born on the same day, at the exact same time, in the exact same Kingdom. Their parents knew already from the day they were born that they were special. But because of the wondrous powers that their girls held meant that it was extremely dangerous for them to grow up in an enchanted place like their home. So they sent them off through a portal into a different world far away from their own to keep the girls safe. From then on until they graduate high school they are raised in a foster home all of their lives.
Violet is a girl born from a King and Queen. Because of this they have made a deal with a demon to watch after her in this other life. As soon as he begins his quest he realizes that the girl he is watching over is his mate. Although he lives in secret, he makes sure that she is always safe and stays untouched.
Athena a girl who is less fortunate, and was born not far from the castle Violet was born in. Instead her parents owned a bakery in the village below the castle. So because of this they could not afford to keep her watched over, but the King and Queen promised them that she would be safe as long as Athena and Violet stuck together.
So on their twenty-first birthday they discover a way back to their original world, and there they face things that they have never even dreamed of.
Love.
Lust.
Danger.
And possibly...death.
