*COMPLETED* Over the years, I'd written many pieces of writing, and shared barely a fraction of them here. As of 2022, I found myself back here again, and in dire need of somewhere to write, and somewhere to share it. This is a collection of poems covering various states of emotion throughout a journey of healing, along with a few of my best from years before. Have you ever wondered what goes on inside of the mind of a truly broken soul? The mind of a person with severe mental disorders. The one who smiles on the outside but is really dying within. The one that always appears happy. The person that you'd never guess was suffering every single day. Have you ever questioned what could break a person so badly? In life, we all have our own roller coaster. It goes up and down and swirls around. We have the greatest moments to never forget and we have our worst memories we try to erase. I wish my life was better than what it became, but the world, isn't a wish granting factory. You get what you get, and you have to deal with it. Like they always say, everything happens for a reason. Time Can't Heal This
I've always hated the saying "Time heals all wounds." Maybe in most cases that may be true. In my experience with life and pain however, time has only ever bled out the wound. The scars that the wounds left behind though, are often so deep that just looking at them becomes painful to the mind. Time only heals what you let go of. Sometimes letting go and moving on just doesn't feel possible; no matter how much time you let pass you by. These poems signify what time hasn't healed for me.
