A romantic comedy loosely based on the story of Eddie (the Eagle) Edwards. While training in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany, Eddie (Taron Egerton) meets Dr. Rossi Gössner(Zooey Deschanel). Coach Bronson Peary (Hugh Jackman) views Rossi as a distraction, but with the convincing of Petra Fels (Iris Berben), Bronson and Rossi find a common ground in helping Eddie achieve his dreams of becoming an Olympian in the '88 Calgary, Alberta games.
