this is a poem that i wrote.
and it's a tribute to " A thousand splendid suns."
which is a great novel by khaled hosseini.
what is going on right now is that there's this girl called Mariam. And she lived in Afghanistan and she has been through alot. Her mother committed suicide; when Mariam was only fifteen years old. Mariam was sent to live with her father Jalil and his four wives. But after spending a week or two at Jalil's house. Mariam had a suitor " Rashid." She didn't want to get married to Rashid. Rashid was in his mid fifties. And she was only fifteen. She begged her father to reject the offer. But her father forced her to marry Rashid; and move out with him. Mariam was shocked. She didn't know that her father would do such a thing. She was so scared and frightend. She didn't want to live with an old guy. She certinley didn't want to waste her life and teen years with him. She was too young to get married, She was so scared. Beacuse now she has to leave her own town and go live with him. What will Mariam do next?? will she go and live with Rashid ??
