Berserk

Twelve years ago, twelve different children were taken away from twelve different families. All twelve children came from families of magic, and all twelve children were taken by the government. They spent almost the first twelve years of their lives being experimented on inside a top secret medical facility. The purpose was never revealed to them, and they never had the chance to find out. An experiment went berserk, and the result was the complete destruction of the facility and all of its members. What happened to the twelve experiments, nobody knew.

Musik Dodici is number twelve. She was the twelfth child to be taken. After the obliteration of the laboratory, she escaped. Now, twelve years after her abduction and five years after her escape, she works for The Snake's Charm. Taking the facade of a regular inn, The Snake's Charm is home to several outcasts. As a result, the inn is offered several jobs. In order to survive, Musik takes on whatever jobs she can.

Her latest job is to investigate the pillaging of several villages. At first, it seems simple. Later, however, she realizes that the destruction of these villages not only leave no clues whatsoever, but the aura of the magic used seems familiar. Truths come to light, and it is not long before the inevitable is discovered. The only problem is herself. Will she be able to keep her emotions under control, or will the fruits of seven years of experimentation finally reveal itself?
