Ever since Cal Jones was born he has disappeared. He just goes to the darkness until he finds himself back in the real world. That is until the darkness is not there anymore. Instead he finds himself as the beacon of hope to the people of the future in the raging war against the invaders. However when he finally switches back home he finds the war only just beginning there. He has to make a decision as to which world to save from the war but as he continues to switch between he two he wonders whether he can really trust those he calls his friends and those he calls him enemies.
