6 years after you and Emily arrived, you started to perform in the circus, you got your circus name Dragon and Emily got Beauty. Torin has always felt out of place in his small village. Despite the familiarity of his surroundings, he cannot shake the feeling that he doesn't belong. He longs for a place where he can truly be himself, away from the expectations of his people, a life free of the stifling weight of conformity. His dreams are filled with a sense of belonging, a vision of a life where he is accepted for who he is, not for who others expect him to be. One fateful day, while attending the annual Dragon Safe Arena, where dragons are brought to be killed for sport and fear, something extraordinary happens. A black dragon, larger and more majestic than any Torin has ever seen, enters the arena. The crowd erupts in excitement, but Torin feels an unexpected connection. The dragon's eyes lock onto his, and in that moment, he hears a voice-not in his ears, but in his mind. The dragon speaks to him, its words clear, yet impossible: "I see you, young one. You do not belong here." In a shock of realization, Torin understands the dragon's plea. No one else can hear it, no one else can understand the words-but Torin can. At that moment, everything changes. He chooses to defy the world he's always known, running away with the dragon, escaping the village that never understood him. As they journey together, seeking refuge in the wilds, they encounter other teens-four others-each of whom carries their own special gift. They, too, are misfits. One has the power to control the wind, another can manipulate shadows, a third can speak to animals, and the last can heal with a touch. The group of them, united by their unique abilities, form an unlikely family.

Viper: When I was a kid I was naive, shy, and easy to push around. I was a little girl who dreamt of sunshine and rainbows. But that all changed when I was 10 years old and my grandparents died. I found myself utterly and completely alone in this world. One bad thing after another seemed to hit me. I of course dealt with it. I dealt with it because a man in a black leather Jacket and fucking amazing ink told me how to survive this cruel world. Sometimes you just have to get mean. And so I did. It became my only vice when shit got tough. I am fine on my own. I don't need anyone. Ryker: When I found her at just ten years old, she was just as cute, button-nosed, and sweet as a jar of honey. I gave her a bit of advice to survive this cruel world. She needed to learn to be a little mean, otherwise she would have been eaten alive. But now that I found her again, she isn't who she was when we first saw each other. She was known as Viper. She seemed to have taken my advice to heart. And fuck, I believe I created a fucking monster. Viper, a dark-haired, green-eyed, wicked smile, and sharp tongue. She thinks she has to do it on her own. But in reality, she doesn't. She has family. She has me. And Lucifer forbids anyone fucks with what belongs to me. Charlie: When I met her at fourteen years old, I never expected her to stay. She was just some kid wanting a tattoo. She was a firecracker waiting to explode. She was protective of things and people that belonged to her. Dan was meant to just kick her out and let her go on her way, but she stayed. Viper, she calls herself. A dark-haired, green-eyed, wicked smile, and sharp as fuck tounged girl. She's tough but needs to learn she has people to lean on. She has family. She has me. And God forbids anyone fucks with what belongs to me. (Fanfic of a book)

"I have waited centuries for this day to finally come - the day in which I would return by your side, aiding you whenever needed and keeping my promise to you. Truly, I am happy to be reunited with you once more, Ninja." He is silent all but for a minute, taking in your appearance with large eyes in his silence. It was quick to dissipate, though, when they reached the burning flames acting as your hair on top of your head, recognition immediately replacing the awe. "Wait, a honkin' minute-- it's you!" He exclaims, flabbergasted, as he directs an accusing finger over to you. "I saw you earlier back in the cafeteria over those flames you made appear-- which was soooo bruce-- ah, not important! Who are you?" The corners of your eyes crinkle ever so slightly to accompany the amused smile that forms under your mask, finding his question - and the quick added compliment - humorous. It was difficult to hold back a titter, even with the current situation you've invited yourself into going on. "It is understandable that you do not know who I am. I have been absent from Norrisville for many years, after all, along with some..."dirastic changes" to my appearance. So, allow me to introduce myself. I am the Phoenix. A friend and ally to you, the Ninja." ~ { DISCLAIMER: I do not own Randy Cunningham 9th Grade Ninja or any music, art, or images that are shown here. They each go to their respective owners. I rubbed my eyes and stretched my arms. I extended them too high for they have hit the glittery dream catcher hanging on the headboard of my bed. The said item dropped on my face. "Argh, get off me." I removed the dream catcher from my face and sat up on my bed. I turned my gaze to the clock on the side table; it was 7:15. "Ugh," I moaned. "it's too early." I closed my eyes and tried to sleep again. A few minutes passed until somebody knocked on the door. "Marie," said the person who knocked on the door. "Let's go already!" Shoot, I forgot. No wonder I woke up so early. I quickly rose to my feet and rushed to the bathroom. "Marie! Are you even awake?" I didn't respond just yet because I was in the shower. A few moments later, the same person knocked on my door. "I've got the keys, Marie," she said. I could hear her shaking the keys outside my door. "You can't stay asleep forever!" Hurriedly, I placed on my blue blouse and pants. I grabbed the brush from the bathroom and started to comb my dark brown hair. Rushing to the door, I opened it to see my friend Ranie Accendo. I eyed her gray blazer over her white shirt, pants, and boots. "What took you so long?" she asked. "Nevermind that." I shook my hand dismissively. "Where are we going? If it's not important, I'm going back to bed." "To the forest." "The forest? Why?" "I'll show you something." ••••••••••••••• •All of the characters in this book belong to me and @RanieAccendo• •The cover photo was drawn by me.•
