The House I thought was Haunted

Could this really be an haunted house? The very thought made shivers crawl down my spine. Haunted houses aren't real. Are they? It was just ten o' clock and all noises from the neighboring town ceased. The stillness was terrible. I could have yelled with the horror of it. Even the crickets had ceased their chirping, all the world might have been dead. Then I must have felt drowsy, but could not say if I had dropped off to sleep. All I knew was that suddenly I was wide awake. What was that? I sat- up my hair bristling - my skin cold and clammy. Follow me to see more of this story.
