Lily thought she was just a normal girl with normal parents... for 17 years of her life.
Until one day a superhero saves her life , and reveals things about herself that she didn't even know.
Like, for instance, did you know that superpowers can only be passed down genetically? Because Lily didn't... Which leaves her parents with some explaining to do.
Now Lily has to come to terms and control her newly developed superpowers as fast as she can, with the help of a pair of superheroes the city loves (Lily isn't quite as keen on one of them).
Because now she isn't just fighting for herself; she is fighting for the whole city.

The girl gets scared. The guy chases her. The girl lets herself fall. They get married... ZZZZ. Point is, there are a lot of cliché love stories. But what if I told you not every story's like that? "You're such a fucking slut. Get changed." He demanded. I could tell he was daring me to disobey by his stern glare. "No dad." I attempted to walk past him to go back to the party before he picked me up and threw me over his shoulder, walking us to his car. I screamed and kicked for him to let me down but he held on even tighter until aggressively slamming me into the passenger seat. Before he went to shut the door and go to the drivers side of the car he crouched down and leaned in to whisper in my ear. "If you get out of this car I'll get Luke out here so we can beat you up till you're bloody." He threatened, proceeding to slam the door shut. My ass was glued to that seat. -------- Lily is like any other 16 year old girl, horny and tired. She's tired of constantly being bullied by her brother and his best friend, Ethan. She's dealt with it her entire life, but something begins to change between her and Ethan. What felt like hate soon became lust. He's toxic, he's manipulative, he's mean, but somehow she's attracted to him. Of course neither wants to admit it though. Will their relationship actually work or will they both end up with their heads blown off? ------- Mature content⚠️ - mentions and some SA - cursing - abuse - depression and suicidal thoughts This is kinda dark romance. I don't endulge in romance like this it's just fun to write. This is also a slow burn. If you're impatient and want character development fast this book isn't for you. I want to keep this story as realistic as possible and people changing their ways overnight isn't. I also just love books where not everything is sped through and you really get to know the characters and their habits.
Twisted Deception by StarrySky_23

[Book #1 of Twisted Deception] "You people don't know a damn thing about us, don't even speak." **** Everyone knows that high school is always something to dread. GPA, friends, enemies, prom, graduation, everything that you think would make high school good and bad for the future. Now scratch off friends, GPA, prom, and graduation. Why would you scratch them off? Because everything else will be the only thing that's important when you get to this high school. Saint Johnathan Pier is the one high school in the city where everything happens and normally, stuff you wish you didn't see. Everyone warned people about the dangers of the students going there but did they ever mention the people already broken by it? They were dubbed "the rainbow colors of society" just because they were different from other students in this school. But there's a slight differential between them: four of these students are popular while the other four are normal. While the four populars are seen as "superior, hot, and intimidating", the four normals are seen as "weirdos, weaklings, and irreverent bystanders". Being different from the other kids has always been a struggle for all of them since grade school, but they try to keep that out of mind. But with their dark history following them at every corner, making new friends can't be on their list. Matter of fact, it isn't an option. Especially when their attitudes are what drive people away rather than in. Not like they're complaining though. When these eight students get paired up for an end of the year assignment, they encounter a lot of drama that will test their relationships to the max. What will happen to them? Can they grow comfortable with each other? Can these troubled teens even be friends in the first place? Come along on the journey as these eight try to survive their last year of high school. ⚠️TRIGGER WARNING ⚠️: This contains strong language, mentions of rape, bullying, etc.

A series of books, it consists of 3 books starting with 2 childhood friends who are female and male protagonists, they become friends because their parents attended to the same college and still are friends...the 1st book is about childhood and pre-teen years,2nd book is for teenage years and college years and the last book is on their adult age.so my idea is that in childhood the boy and girl are both into studies (nerds) but the girl is extremely beautiful and gorgeous. But with time they get out of their shells and she becomes the most popular girl in middle school and then onwards...but the boy still is the same loser like a nerd but he's the one who truly loves the girl while everyone else loves her to be with her, for her attention and "a piece of that cake" in their own words. But whenever she needs help or when she's wasted or drunk the nerdy childhood boy is the one who gets her home and takes care of her and she has never even uttered a word of thank you. She doesn't even know how he feels about the pretty girl...in high school and college she pretty much gets wasted but somehow ends up as a doctor...After so many years they meet again at one of their parent's events hosted by one of their parents...the boy has changed into a real gentleman...A successful businessman and he takes care of her the same way he always did since childhood....finally the pretty girl starts falling for him and a beautiful love story unfolds with a few rough edges...
