Unless levitating objects, making things happen with a single thought, or performing tricks no other child her age could was considered normal. They knew that no matter what she was their daughter, a blessing from the angels. Expect Hermione was everything, but that. In fact, some might even say she was conceived by the Devil himself, depending on who you ask. In the Wizarding World of Great Britain he was known as many names: He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, You-Know-Who, Tom Riddle, The Dark Lord, Voldemort. If fate would've played in his favor, then to Hermione Granger he'd simply be "Father".
