"Maybe... Maybe their just sick?", I shot back as he lowered the gun and slammed stuff around, knocking precious things off the tables around us.

"Maybe you're right...", he started but wasn't facing me.  He dragged the top of he gun along the roof of the couch.  "We should change and be like them."

I hesitated.  "You're right.  We- we should do it together."

His eyes were cold and full of terror as we snuck outside and out of the walls to Alexandria.
