Dan Howell spends all his free time on the internet. Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Youtube, and so on are his past times. He has enough friends from school to not be a total loser and social outcast, yet he feels more keen to the internet than a night out with them.

One evening, he ventures onto the casual vlogging side of YouTube, and that's where he first lays his eyes on the one and only, AmazingPhil. His fascination with the slightly older boy only grows with time as he follows his every social network, hoping to be noticed one day.
Phil Lester is a YouTube vlogger under the username AmazingPhil. He loves making videos and interacting with the ones who take the time out of their days to watch his videos.

After a few months of video making and attending University, Phil notices one username showing up quite often in his comments and replies on Twitter. Interested, he checks out his Twitter and is immediately drawn to him through their similar tastes. He takes a risk and follows him back.
