Prologue
	Dear Diary, March 11, 2016

Yesterday a girl went missing. And not just any girl, Diary, but Ashlynn Carter. She was my best friend! She would NEVER do anything like that. But last night, after walking home from the party, she vanished. I'm so scared. They found a note, but I'm not sure what it says in it. They won't give me information, because I'm emo as it is. Ash was my sister that I've never had. Jackson and Julian, my older twin brothers, are trying to comfort me but this is deep. I know Ashlynn wouldn't run away because she was in the most popular clique at school, she had this perfect look. Diary, she has been there through everything.

Kaitlyn McAlvey was crying by the end of her entry. Her mom called up the stairs, "Katydid, dinner's ready!" Kaitlyn looked in the mirror. Her hair looked like a bird's nest and her face was red with tear tracks streaking down her face. Good thing no one at school would see her like this! "Mom I'm not HUNGRY!" She could hear her mom walking up the stairs, and the next thing she knew, her mom had her arms wrapped around Kaitlyn and Kaitlyn was sobbing so hard, she couldn't breathe. Kaitlyn still couldn't believe that Ashlynn was really gone. "Katydid, you've got to come downstairs. Please. Do this for me. For Julian and Jax. They love you, and they are really worried." Kaitlyn sighed and removed herself from her mother and stood in front of her mirror. "I'll be down in five minutes Mom." Her mother slips out of her room and goes to check on her brothers.
She ran a brush through her hair, and splashed some cold water on her face. She looked around her bathroom, looking for a hair elastic and picks up a note. "Would you die for him? I would..." She gasps and drops the note. Could it be true?
