"Jacob, please, don't." I looked at him with teary eyes. "If it means that you'll be safe, then it's worth taking this risk." He told me cupping me cheek. That did it. I bursted in tears as mascara ran down my cheeks.

"You don't h-have to d-do t-this." I hiccuped. Gasping for air to circulate through my lungs, I cried holding onto his hand. "But I love you enough too." He said hugging me one last time before running off in the other direction. "Jacob!" I screamed trying to go after him, my hand reaching out to grab his hoodie. But Cameron held me back. "Let me go!" I screamed pounding on his chest with my small fists. Although, I knew it was no use. "Shh. Casey. Shh." Cameron said, rocking me back and forth. Over and over. I sobbed into his chest, my legs crumbling beneath me. I wept and the energy drained my body as if water was getting poured into the drain. I can't even stand on my own anymore.

All we could do now...was wait for him to return...
