This book is about a mute girl who is approaching Senior year at her high school and how she has had to deal with people saying hurtful things about her thinking that she was deaf as well since she couldn't say anything back to them when they asked her things like "So, ew! Do I really have to do this guys...OK fine. What do you think about the clothes you wear? Cause we think that they're ugly." All she could do was look away and not answer. Sometimes she even wished that she was deaf along with being mute. She could only reside in her German Shepard puppy,Scout, to help her cope with the pain since she was 18 she lived on her own.
