"Have you...." She paused for a second, trying to find the right words. "Have you ever missed someone so much that you physically feel sick?" She didn't know if her words were making sense, or if they were pouring right out of her mouth and falling flat on the icy ground beneath their feet. He shook his head in the darkness engulfing them, making it seem as if the world was ending. He stared at her like she was an alien, and there she was again, stranded alone on her desert island.

"Ben, BEN! Why are you doing this?" "I have to" "I see under the sheet of darkness that has fallen upon you, come back before it's too late!" "It already is too late. Goodbye, Rey." Then Rey felt herself fall into a deep, un-peaceful, and dark sleep. Kylo Ren slowly glided away from her unconscious form. A tear, although invisible from the rest of the universe underneath his mask, fell down his cheek. Kylo Ren left the scene of the massacre, where he had just murdered dozens of former fellow Jedi padawans, at the academy his uncle had established. He didn't look back, for he knew that if he did, he would totally break...he would be torn apart. Please note that this story STARTS in the time while Kylo Ren/Ben is at the Jedi Academy and that this story was written directly after The Force Awakens! It does not include ANY of TLJ or TROS canon, please be aware of this as you read. Also I wrote this like 3 or 4 years ago, excuse my grammar mistakes. Yes, I know they're there. A Lesson to Learn
Note: you do not have to be a Star Wars fan to enjoy this story! There are some references which will make the story more fun for even a casual Star Wars fan, but this story can also stand alone as its own work of fiction (while using Star Wars characters as an easy way to imagine each person). After committing what Kylo Ren only refers to as "The Big Oops", naughty devil/demon Kylo Ren is punished for his bad deeds by God (who also happens to be Leia Organa, his mother). As punishment, Kylo Ren is trapped and bound to a ring which is hidden away on Earth. When someone wears the ring Kylo Ren is bound to serve them, that is if they can force (or convince) him to reveal himself and listen to their wishes. His only chance at escape from his imprisonment is when, according to Leia, the "right person comes along and releases you". Frustrated at his mother's cryptic words regarding his freedom and his ring having ended up at a thrift store at the bottom of a jewelry box for years, Kylo Ren's ring is finally picked up by a gentle and unassuming woman - Rey Dameron. Kylo finds himself instantly attached to this rather average looking woman and is (almost?) excited to be bound to her and to serve her. Will Kylo reveal himself to Rey so that they can get into (hopefully) some trouble together? Will Rey be willing to keep the ring once she realizes the power it holds through Kylo Ren? "Enlighten me," he threatened, though it sounded like a plea. "It wasn't our time, Ben, you know that." Rey's voice shook a little. "When is our time?" Kylo's voice became lighter. "You already know the answer to that," she sniffled. *** The Force knew Rey was to be in Kylo Ren's life just as Kylo was to be in Rey's. However, both individuals prayed and hoped for very different outcomes. Rey wanted nothing more than to bring Kylo Ren back to the Light. ❝He didn't say anything, just stared. A malicious glint came to his eyes. "Rey, I did not think you could be this foolish. I am years older than you, physically and mentally. How could I ever fall for a Jedi? I am stronger that that." This was what he reiterated in his head every day, every second he thought about her. But she was right indeed. He did like her. It seemed like an understatement almost. He needed her. Every second that Rey wasn't with him felt like torture. He couldn't let her know that. He also desperately clung to the darkness. His darkness was what fueled him and what kept him going. He couldn't possibly give that up. The girl was a conundrum. "Liar," Rey whispered. She crossed the distance between them. Now, they were only a few inches apart, separated by the bars of the cell. "You're right," he smiled. Yet again, it didn't reach his eyes. Rey was right. He could barely stand to be someone he wasn't. But his past called for him. "I am a liar. A manipulative beast." He reached out and tucked a stray piece of hair behind her ear. "You would do well to stay away." She stepped back. She had felt a jolt of something when he touched her. Like she was being set on fire, but she loved it. "St- Stay away from me," she stuttered. Star Wars IX- The Rise of Skywalker
"We've passed on all we know. A thousand generations live in you now, but this is your fight." A familiar voice, Luke's, whispers. Luke Skywalker stands net to R2-D2 the sky around him burns shades of orange, yellow and red and behind him a Jedi temple burns. Kylo feels his father's hand upon his face the watched as his father falls into the abyss. "Your journey nears its end." A sinister voice now whispers, and a flash of blue light reveals a fleet of Imperial Star Destroyers filling the vastness of space as blue fire leaps between them. A powerful red laser of an unseen weapon obliterates the surface of a planet. Shrieks, whispers and screams and then the sound of a lightsaber igniting. A fiery red saber but behind that saber is Rey, her hand twitches and the saber becomes a double-pronged staff. A maniacal evil laugh cackles. Kylo woke with a start and sat upright on his bed. Written after the first trailer dropped and finished before the film was released. Contains references to previous films, novelisations and comics.
