It's been weeks, maybe months since the last outbreak, it was only a level two, but it was pretty bad. Cas almost lost Clare, his sister, God knows she's not gonna be let out of his sight for however long. They come across and old jeep with a full tank, and decide to take a road trip... To think only months ago they were high school kids, but now they're running for their lives.
They go back to their hometown, to an old quiet, landlocked town in Kansas for a break. That's when Cas meet Dean Winchester, his crush from middle school, and the man who saved his life from the apocalypse.

After the End
After ten years, the apocalypse seems to have ended, but no one can figure how, or why. Dean Winchester and his brother, Sam, had been hiding out in their bunker since the apocalypse started, separated from their father, with nobody but each other. The monsters they used to hunt were nothing compared to the hoards of undead that kept them confined to their bunker. Since it all stopped, they're free to roam the earth again. Cas and Dean are seniors in high school and they've been best friends since they were five years old. They know everything about one another, or so Dean thought. The one thing he didn't know was that Cas was gay. The other he didn't know was that Cas was completely and totally in love with him. Oblivious, Dean launches into a new relationship with a girl he meets at the mall one afternoon, and it tears Cas apart seeing Dean with her, especially when it looks like for the first time in his life, Dean is getting serious about a girl. Charlie, being the good friend she is throws a party and invites Cas. There's an interesting guy there that catches Cas' eye. Sweet fluff ensues, and it's soon after that Dean learns Cas' biggest secret. He is also faced with emotions he has never felt before, especially in regards to Cas. He finds himself jealous and angry when he sees Cas with Luke, and at his brother's suggestion he decides to confront his true feelings for his best friend, and tell him how he really feels. There is a lot of pain and heartache in the beginning for Cas, but I swear it ends on a good note. I hope you all enjoy!Complete

Things work out just fine until an awry incident causes Dean and Cas to go missing after school one day. Soon after, a life-threatening trade may just cause Winter her life, but maybe it's worth it. This story involves Teen!Cas and Teen!Dean, so I suppose you could call it a high-school AU. The story is under major construction, so some parts are going to be a little jagged until i can go back and edit them. It's non-slash, but more on the fluffy side.
