Nearly three decades of war between magic users and the kinsmen, on the ban of all magic, has left a distant country in ruin, and only one young princess to take the throne as the only one left to take over the royal blood line. From painstaking poverty and despair, the princess worked hard at restoring her kingdom, becoming a beacon of hope on the lives of her people, and bringing upon an era of peace without magic...

Until the witch's tower appeared... From the roots of the tower, a vile plague spreads, destroying and killing everything in it's path. It's up to a brave and nobel knight to venture to the tower and kill the witch.

But when magic is involved, and with a witch too stubborn to simply die, can our hero defeat the witch and win the princess's heart? Or will he forever be caught within the killer loop that is the witches curse?

What happens when a typical fairytale has to be retold over and over again?

The Modern Countess by AlexiaPraks

When life gives you a second chance in a medieval fantasy world, make sure you revolutionize it. Getting hit by a truck wasn't on my post-graduation bucket list. Neither was waking up as Quinn Fairchild, the illegitimate daughter of a cruel lord in a world of magic and monsters. But at least I got some cool magical powers out of the deal, right? Well, sort of. Sure, I can create modern conveniences and heal people, but now I'm being married off to the infamous Earl of Norsewood-a man whose reputation makes hardened warriors tremble. Turns out this supposedly ruthless earl is actually a gorgeous, caring leader desperately trying to save his dying land. Armed with my 21st-century knowledge, a know-it-all magical creation skill, and a determination to build something amazing, I'm turning this medieval fantasy world upside down. One modern convenience at a time. Now if only I could figure out why my hunky husband keeps looking at me like I'm his personal miracle... The Modern Countess Series (formerly Apparently, I'm the Infamous Earl's Legendary Bride) is a fantasy romance series features a vivacious transmigrated heroine determined to revolutionize a medieval-like, war-torn world with her modern knowledge and magical abilities, alongside a hunky warrior-earl husband hell-bent on protecting his land and people while claiming his wife's heart. This series contains: • Slow Burn Romance • Kingdom Building • Magic System • Found Family • Politics & Intrigue • Food & Cooking • Slice of Life Note: A kingdom-building fantasy series follows protagonists as they develop and manage their domain, from humble villages to sprawling empires, while gathering loyal citizens and allies along the way.
Rell and The Rose by hjnelson

A Beast stalks the night... but Beauty hunts him. A reimagining of the story you thought you knew. Rell grew up hearing stories of the Human Realm, a fantastic world with light at the flick of a finger, metal boxes that fly through the sky; a fantastic, faraway fairytale that she knows is too good to be true. Because Rell lives in the Dark Realm: a world full of magical creatures and a low-hanging sky, all protected by The Blood Rose. Until the day the Blood Rose is stolen away and taken to the Human Realm. Without it, the two realms will meet with disastrous consequences, the human sun bleaching all the magic from the Dark Realm. And so Rell leaves everything she knows to bring it back. There's only one problem: the Human Realm- especially high school- is nothing like the stories. There's some sort of code with words like "twerking" and "Instagram" she can't understand, and then there's Bastien, the boy who hates Rell for reasons she can't explain. But when Rell realizes Bastien is keeping just as many secrets as she is, the two become an unlikely team in the search for the Blood Rose. Time is ticking, and more than just The Dark Realm is at stake. Whoever stole the rose is now cursed to turn into a Beast every full moon, and is hidden among them. Students are going missing, and dark creatures are slipping into the Human Realm. Rell needs to find the Blood Rose, slay the Beast, survive high school, and sort out these new, confusing feelings for Bastien--all before the night of the full moon. To fail could mean the end of The Dark Realm and every magical creature within, but to succeed means she'll lose the boy she's falling for, and a Realm more beautiful than she ever imagined. A modern-day reimaging of Beauty and the Beast.
