The Last Corvus (completed)

Iz (Dora to those intentionally trying to tick her off) has always thought she was just a normal New Yorker. Captain of her High School track team, best friends since childhood with her neighbor, working at a Deli. Totally normal... until one day on her way home from work a vampire saves her from some of his own kind. He tries to explain that she's the last known surviving member of a fabled clan of vampire hybrids with the ability to cure vampirism, but she doesn't buy it.

Humoring him, she enters the Complex, the vampire shelter located under the Central Park Zoo itself, and discovers a whole world of vampires she never thought existed. There she meets new friends and gets closer with Linden, the mysterious vampire that originally explained her identity to her.

After a deadly accident one of the vamps is out for revenge - but Iz has a few tricks up her sleeve that even she doesn't know how to handle.

Meanwhile in Paris, a group of vampire Hunters suffer the tragic loss of more of their teammates. Meg-Elaine, their captain, has to make the choice to either continue to lead her loved ones down this perilous path of blood, or take a much-needed vacation for her mental health... possibly permanently.
