She sat cross-legged on her bed: computer on lap, coffee in hand. Her finger repeatedly scrolling on the touchpad of her laptop as her eyes observed the screen. She was on Tumblr, a popular website her friends introduced her to. A smile crept instantly to her lips as she saw a photo of 5 boys. One Direction, she thought, the biggest boy band in the world. A faint memory crossed her mind, making her shiver a bit. She knew one boy, knew him very well. They were best friends for years; they would always go everywhere together. Both children grew up in Cheshire, England, liking the same things, doing the same things. When she was 12, her cousin became extremely ill and had to move to America to get special treatment. Her parents were his legal guardians because of his parents’ deaths, so she had to move too. This split the two friends apart. The girl cried for days and the boy kept silent, yet felt broken inside for a while. Since then, the two haven’t talked at all, which broke the girl’s heart. She frowned, thinking of her past relationship with this boy. He’s not a boy anymore though, he’s grown up. Probably changed too. Maybe even forgot about them, her. She remembered how much she was attracted to him, even being so young when they met. He had deep green eyes, a head full of curly hair. She passed a few photos of the band after that. He really did change, she thought, thinking about his past self. His face was more mature, yet there was a familiar feeling to it. He was incredibly tall now. It was strange, though, watching her past friend grow up to be a world-round famous pop star, while she had the same things go on every day. She missed him, so much. It had almost been 6 years, too much time. They were more like strangers now. She drew in a heavy, ragged breath. Harry Styles.
