We've been friends since we were three and its my job to keep you safe." I laughed a little. Until I knew. It had all made sense. He had known me since I was three. He needed to protect me. I didn't know what spooked him. I knew it wasn't me. I knew it wasn't anything I had done. But someone, somewhere along the way had hurt him. I had my guess as to who, but didn't know how I could find out for sure. But whatever it was clearly left its mark; an unseen scar that was still healing. We laid there in the quiet of the darkness. His breathing slowly began to steady and his fingers slowly ceased running down my arm. At some point, I knew he had fallen asleep. I tilted my head back up towards his face, finding his cheek, kissing him. "I don't know what made you so afraid," I whispered, "But I can see the shadow behind your face. Who hurt you? Who put your heart through so much pain? I hope you find a way to tell me what you're running from. I promise you can talk to me; you can trust me. I won't break you. I just want to know how to get in there. How do I get you to show me your heart?" I kissed him once more before resting my head down again. Closing my eyes, I inhaled deeply, loving the way his natural scent mixed with the cologne he had put on. "I promise, you've got the best of me. I looked down at my stomach. A small bump was beginning to form, only if he knew. "Please don't go." I pleaded "I've wanted to do this forever, don't you want me to be happy?" He said grabbing his packed bag I sat on the bed we share in my apartment. Well the bed we did share, until he left. "Please, Niall. I love you." I begged "I love you too, but we're still so young and I know I'll make it far." I shook my head wishing I could wake up and see that this was all a dream, a nightmare at that "Niall I..." I trailed off, I was proud of Niall, I supported this, I supported it until I found out I was carrying our kid. 16 and pregnant, he'd leave me anyways, what would be the point in telling him? "Have some faith in me." He dropped his bag by the bedroom door and walked over to me, giving me the slightest bit of hope, he grabbed my face and kissed me "Bye, I hope I'll see you again." and he returned to his bag...leaving me.Complete

NIALL: What in the world just happened? I choked at seeing this girl? And did a spit take when I actually got a good look at her? What the hell is wrong with me? LOUIS: I turn around because I'm sure that would have made Summer laugh. But she remains silent. Her hands are still doing something with my phone and the stereo. Her face is blank looking at Niall with her eyes slightly squinted. That's weird. Summer has laughed almost every time one of us does something funny. ZAYN: "But you're One Direction." The way her American accent blends in with her awkwardness and sassiness is attractive. And it's also funny because Niall hasn't taken his eyes off her the whole time. Mission accepted. Niall and Summer. LIAM: I look at him with a smirk on my face. He furrows his eyebrows at me. "What?" "Summer will be here soon and with all of us busy with our interviews. I thought Niall could occupy her." Zayn squints his eyes at me and comes right up in my face. "What?" I back up laughing a bit. He backs off. "You're quite the mastermind." He gives me a nod of approval. SUMMER: Man, how are we living in a world where a normal teenage girl can't fangirl anytime and anywhere? This sucks. Please forgive the minor bad fanfic moments, such as where they meet, falling in love in a short period of time, and a couple of small character cliches.Complete
