Mash isn't sick at the moment, Jas is traumatized but just seeing Mash smile makes her feel happier, you can even say safer too. Talking to somebody, everybody else, requires leaving the safety of that bubble. Thrusting Jas back into reality. Forcing her to stop hiding away with Mash enjoying just being together in seclusion. Making her address what's really going on. Jas takes a deep breath and readies herself to act. Then calls her mother back.
