Brook and Brent have been living peacefully with their mother all their lives. Their father was sent to prison 15 years ago for murder, but they were too young to remember. They don't even remember their father at all. They don't even know exactly what he did. They just live normally, like any other family; going to school every day, keeping their grades up, going to sports practice and work after school, dating, hanging out with their friends, etc. They have no idea their father is planning his escape and is coming after them for revenge. They have no idea he wants them dead. But when he does finally escape and come for them, will they be ready? Can they stop him? Can they win the fight for their lives when their father will do whatever it takes to murder his ex-wife and children and anyone else who gets in his way?

Jordan realized that he's kind of been the only one there for Brooke for the past six years, her mom has been busy with work as same as her dad and brother, Nate with college. Brooke depends on Jordan for everything, and he is more than happy to help her when she wanted, they were best friends, aside of the mistake that Jordan continues to struggle with, this mistake he keeps from Brooke; afraid of what she would think of him after that, but he continues to think, "Would that be so bad? For her to hate me?" With this thought in his mind, he knows that he can't bring himself to tell her because he knew how badly it would hurt her and he didn't ever want to think about hurting her. Dying in his guilt, he keeps debating with himself whether telling her is the best thing to do or not. He wants to release himself of the guilt, but doesn't want to lose a friend either.
