Never in her wildest dreams did Nalila imagine that someday she would be joining the quest to take back Erebor, ancient home of the dwarves. But that is exactly where she finds herself, and there is much more to this journey than reaching the Lonely Mountain. Something dark and deeply evil is trailing them, something that was thought to be vanquished long ago. And her half-blood status repeatedly makes for awkward tensions, especially with the company's leader, Thorin Oakenshield and King under the Mountain. There is no promise that everyone will come back, and if they do, they will not be the same.
But that does not daunt her. For she is Nalila Dragonfire, daughter of the mountain, and she will stand by her king.
