Three years ago, Justin told Milan they could no longer be friends. It broke her, so she moved to a new city to start over. It destroyed him to see her in pain, but the decision was for her protection, and Milan's safety is Justin's top priority. He made it his mission to get revenge against the people who hurt his best friend and eliminate the danger for good. Now, it's safe for Justin to reconnect with Milan and bring her home. During the years he had to spend without her, fighting on her behalf, he lost himself a bit. Justin desperately needs Milan back in his life, but will she be open to a reunion after her ex-bestie broke her heart with no explanation? This is book #1 in a two-part series. Back to Himself is told entirely from Milan's POV, with the reunion story unfolding in present day and the story of Milan's upbringing and how she met Justin being told through flashbacks.
