War is cruel. It plays with the hearts of men as if they were toys incapable of exhibiting emotion. This poem is about how WW2 was a terrible, bloody battle that made people, not only leave their loved ones behind, but who they were as a person in general.


I entered this poem into the schoolastic poetry competition back when I was in 8th grade. It received a silver key. I am not very good when it comes to writing poetry but I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing :)All Rights Reserved
