Ezra is a young street rat from the planet Lothal. One day, he steals crates from a crew trying to take them from the Empire. He ends up on the crew's ship, the Ghost. They are trying to rescue wookies, but the mission goes wrong. The captain, Hera sends Ezra to warn Kanan, Zeb, Sabine, and Chopper. They all successfully make it out, except for Ezra. Zeb leaves him behind and the crew never comes back for him. Ezra manages to escape on his own, but his trust in people no longer exists. Some time later, Ezra meets up with the crew yet again. (So this story is from Spark of Rebellion, but the crew doesn't go back for Ezra.)

Mira was only four years old when Order 66 occurred, barely surviving. After believing for years that her master was dead, and having to survive for 15 years alone, she joins a rebel crew known as the Rainstorm, consisting of an odd crew, lead by an old Clone trooper by the name of Wen. As the overwhelming Empire expands it's way out to the Outer Rims of the Universe, Mira receives a very unlikely call from no one other than her old master, leading her to the planet of Harmonia far out in the system. So far out that no maps extended that far out and no one, or very few know of it. Upon her arrival, the peaceful planet is automatically identified as Mira's home planet, with her people that were all force sensitive, but were not trained in the force. As the Empire arrives at the forgotten world, Mira must make a choice: train and save her people, or watch as the peaceful world fades from memory into a war zone.

But upon switching back, she found her olive skin was now bleached deathly white, her green eyes now blood red, and her bright red hair now black like death. After some time passes, she will quickly realize that she retained more of the Evil Lord's curse than just a change of appearance. The sun's light is harsh on her eyes, and a hunger insatiable grows within her that cannot be sated by normal food. With each day, the taste of cuisine she once adored becomes unpalatable and detestable until even the finest delicacies taste like mud to her. She cannot deny any longer that she needs blood. Returning home after fighting in a war and transforming into a genuine creature of evil is jarring to say the least, and the stress of being reduced to a mockery of what she knows her true nature to be only compounds when her relationships both at home and the academy encounter turbulence. Without anyone to look to for advice, she will reach new lows as the insatiable lust for blood demands that she accept her true nature and feed on a living host.
