Haunted by her grief, self-destruction, nightmares and past, Illa Diamond Matthews is a frequent visitor of her brothers and sister, Jake and Joe and Marissa. Last month her father and mother broke the news to her, she would be going to Mars and staying for 80 years. Only recently she told Renee, her best friend, in Illa's room and they decide to binge eat ice-cream and chocolate while watching sappy disney movies.
Haunted by his past, anger and father, Quinn Felix Horgers is a frequent visitor of his mate's, Hamish's, house. Last week his mother broke the news to him, he would be going to Mars and staying for 80 years. Only recently he also told Hamish and they decided to throw rocks at multiple windows, destroying them into small shards of glass. 
This is survival of the fittest at its finest.

Her eyes were a beautiful golden glaze that only seemed to shine brighter when hit with the sun's glow. Her body was toned with muscles, as if she were born with them. Her hair was a deep black, neatly decorated into long, patterned braids that stopped just at her lower back. And scars adorned her front and back torso. 💫 Things were not meant to be like this. Everyone was evacuated from the home planet over 150 years ago. Our planet was dying, it was only a matter of time before our race was wiped out. We now live on a synthetic planet designed and built by our ancestors who came together from all parts of the globe to devise a plan to save us. We have lived peacefully for over a century.. Until now. Our lives were threatened when a mysterious and deadly virus broke out, killing entire communities at a time. The council says that they have a plan; they said that in order to prevent the death of more innocent people they will test every man, woman, and child for signs of the virus. Any person found to have been infected will be quarantined, the ones who die will be given a proper burial while the ones who survive are deemed carriers and are to be sent to the home planet to prevent further outbreak. I was prepared for the people I know and some I love being taken away for the greater good, but I never would have expected that among the list of people being taken from my community, that I would be one of them.. I survived the quarantine. Now for the survival of my planet I, and the other Carriers must be sent to the home planet. I'm going back to Earth. Survival in space was our only option. The dying earth and its sickly inhabitants forced us to flee to the stars. My father, the commander of the elite group chosen to live amongst the stars, brought me along for the journey. The beacon can only be activated by the alien who was left here and only when the planets are in a particular alignment. The next time is only two months away during the Autumnal Equinox. When Zoe discovers who the alien is, it's a complete game changer because the alien is closer to her than she ever could have imagined. The story takes place in a small town surrounded by forest near the Oregon-California border. Of course it does, after all, the highest concentration of Qi is found in forests where ancient redwoods grow. You might be wondering, what is Qi? In Japan it is called "ki," and in India, "prana"." The ancient Egyptians referred to it as "ka," and the ancient Greeks as "pneuma." In Africa, it's known as "ashe" and in Hawaii as "mana." Qi, Prana, Ki, call it what you will, this energy is the life force itself.
