Mad Hatter lives in what remains of New Jersey and kills vampires with her best friend and four people who treated her like she was invisible back when there was school. They were about to part ways when two 'good' vampires came with a prophecy that one of them has to die to make a clan of vampires human. Mad starts to realise her feelings for her best friend as he gets kidnapped by the head vampire and she is left with the hardest decision of her life, family or love.

At least they did until two of the vampires comes to them, to warn and protect them because of a prophecy that says one of them is the key to turning vampires human again which means the person has to die. As Jade and their friends question their mantra 'All vampires are evil', Jade feels something for one of them and one of her friends admits he's in love with her, things get very difficult and either way someone's getting hurt.
