"My name is Charming, Princess Charming " she flipped her short brown hair out of her eyes as she gave me her I would assume signature smile. "And what would you be called my fair lady?"she asks leaning on one leg crossing her arms casually. I arch my brow at her, taking in her strangely fitting attire. A white pirate like shirt, feminine but masculine at the same time with her vest and brown pants . I didn't expect to find someone like this at this Halloween party. "Samantha Munroe, your majesty"I respond, watching her smile at my apparent humor. "I'm guessing your from England?"she asks. "Yes I'm from Cambridge, why do you ask?". "it's just I think your accent it's extremely cute just like you beautiful" . And then just like that she walked away. That was my first encounter with Zari Winters.

This year was supposed to be simple: survive the rest of high school, save up as much money as possible, move back to California and become roommates with Stacey. That was the plan, it was all set from the moment she landed in New York. But of course, the universe had to come and rearrange everything. * * * There I sat in the cabin of a small fly-bridge boat as Josh sailed us to who knows where. Gripping the cushion of my seat I glanced from my phone to different spots around me. It had been more than half an hour since I had sent the text to the group chat. No one had called me or texted me and I could feel my hopes being crushed. Here I thought this small group of people actually cared about me. I should have known better. Minutes later Josh emerged and leaned against the door frame. He smiled at me and I felt something flip inside my rib cage. My mind couldn't figure out why Josh's presence affected my heart beat. When he appeared my hands became sweaty and my stomach fluttered. "Ready?" He asked in a velvet tone. Crossing my arms over my chest I raised an eyebrow at him. Where exactly had he brought us to?"Follow me," he left the frame of the door and I followed him. Snaking around to the front of the boat I saw blankets and pillows laid over the front. * * * Please excuse my sorry excuse of a summary and just please read the story instead. Thank you.
