She is a skilled puppeteer. However, she does not use her chakra strings in battle, as many have tried to force her to; she uses them to entertain, to earn money. She knows what monetary profits a shinobi can reap by taking missions, but she also knows what risks a shinobi must face. She doesn't want to die. All she wants is to live in relative comfort, basking in wealth.

Then she meets the puppeteer shinobi, Sasori of the Red Sand.
