Based from the events of 4x02 - after escorting Norman to Pineview, Alex has a strong urge to go back to check on Norma. So, once again, he is drawn back to the Bates house. With Norma now having to live alone and cope with the burden of her son being taken away from her, she finds unexpected comfort in the closed off stoic Sheriff that is Alex Romero.
