Junior high stinks for thirteen-year-old Vladimir Tod. Bullies harass him, the principal is dogging him, and the girl he likes prefers his best friend. Oh, and Vlad has a secret: His mother was human, but his father was a vampire. With no idea of the extent of his powers and no one to teach him, Vlad struggles daily with his blood cravings and his enlarged fangs. When a strange substitute teacher begins to question him a little too closely, Vlad worries that his cover is about to be blown. But then he realises he had a much bigger problem: He's being hunted by a vampire killer who is closing in.... Fast!

Her Farther turned out to be a dead beat dad and with no brothers and sisters she had to handle and do everything on her own and that was just the beginning. Everything changed when she was just heading home bringing beer back to her dad . She found out things which were not meant like vampires. Being kidnapped by a vampire was not what Claire was excepting but he had to keep his secret and so did she. Some things are meant to be kept a secret.

Everything's good in the beginning, but he has a different side when he's alone with the class. He's mean and strict. He also seems to be able to read the students' thoughts. Robin tells his dad about the teacher and his strange behavior. But Adam doesn't believe him. He thinks his son has seen too many horror movies. He tries to find out more about Vlad and finds out that he has been lying all the time. He's not a teacher, he's not even human. Vlad arranges a class trip to Transylvania. But no one will come back. It's up to Robin to stop him, before it's too late.
