Elusive and careful 17 year- old, Delilah Little Star, lives her life quietly on the Quileute reservation. Suffering from severe cystic fibrosis she is obligated to carry an oxygen tank wherever she goes. She keeps only a few close to her while everyone else is kept at a comfortable distance.
