The fight for survival is high, and the tyrants that run "safe havens" even higher. The things that caused the end of the world are still out there... and they're hungry and savage... but that doesn't stop a group of young renegades trying to find out the truth, even if it means going into hell to do so.

It's been 8 months since a dangerous, mind-affecting, violent and sentient pathogen ravaged Earth and became a Wasteland with only 15% of the human population still intact and the remaining percentage had been either killed or infected. Now a strange force rises as the society now known as the "The Red Order" is now aware of the capabilities of the said pathogen, which may fear the incoming of what is known as "The Inevitable," as shown in the prophecy of the Red Order. A team of specialized forces from the Red Order embark on a journey to discover the Inevitable, hoping to develop a way to stop the prophecy. But as the day proceeds, the infected are learning much faster and are catching up. Will they proceed or will the prophecy be fulfilled? The Infection is caused by a strain of bacteria similar to that of Yersinia pestis. The infected are merciless, violent, sentient and somehow exhibit a sociopathic tendency. It didn't exactly make it easy to prevent getting infected. Things could have been worse, though, Megan thought. She could've been left all alone to ponder over her thoughts and fear over the future. It'll only be within the time spent with the new group will she find out that everything's not as happy and welcoming as it had seemed. These people had a few secrets of their own, including the real reason they took Megan in. Back by popular request! The 2017 rough draft of The Virus Within! (Caution: Contains massive plotholes that were fixed in the polished The Virus Within Series. Grammar issues are present, particularly missing commas.) What do you do when you are one of the infected? The virus in my blood is trying to steal my humanity. It alters my very thoughts and reactions. It taunts me by tempting me with desires that it planted in my brain. These bloodthirsty desires would lead to my demise if I ever gave in. I have more in common with the zombies than with humans at this point. Even the fallen zombies accept me as one of their own. Blood is required to retain my grip on sanity, but the sweet-smelling blood from humans is a short path to madness. Human blood is to be avoided at all costs. Humankind around the world was driven close to extinction by the sudden appearance of the zombies, yet small groups of survivors constantly manage to appear and put my control to the test. -------------------------- This is a standalone zombie book. Firstly, A trigger warning for mental health/ self inflicted wounds when reading. you're only 18 years old. your name is zoe. you always had a love for the apocalypse but didn't think it would truly happen. and you slowly learn that nobody is who they say they are. Nobody is to be trusted. Things are gonna fall apart, and nobody can save us now. This book is being rewritten again and hopefully is better than the first and second time it was published. It's kind of cringe most of the way. Wrote it when i was like 13-14 years old or something and tried rewriting when I was about 16. Didn't work. Trying to rewrite it again at 20 but i don't think the first two books are saveable. Book three so far however is going well(i believe anyway). The second book has also been rewritten and will be rewritten again. now I'm working on finishing book three. All characters are mine but ellis is not I will be changing a lot of character names again in this rewriting process in all books, ellis being the biggest.
