As heiress of Horan Holdings, a disgraced press company, Clare Horan moves to another school in her senior year of high school after losing her temper against a classmate.
That's when she meets Elliot Lockwood, son of a mega tycoon.
With winning smiles and a handsome face that turns many heads, Elliot is loved by everyone in school.

He was quiet for a moment, and then, slowly, shifted his head slightly and pressed his lips against my neck.
Fuck. My insides seemed to melt. By my sides, my fingers slackened.
"You want the shameless type or the bashful type?" Pulling his head away from my shoulder, Elliot straightened. Gently shifting his cap up, he looked at me, grinning. "You tell me what you want. I'll do just that."

"My strategy was to make you pity me, so that you'll help me more actively." Elliot smiled faintly. "But it kinda feels like shit, with you looking at me like that."
"Like what?"
"Like you sincerely sympathize with me."
