The Universe is in trouble. It pinpoints the start to a forest planet where TERMINUS crashed and a very busy, stuck, vulnerable and lonely Nyssa. Only the Master can save her.
Along the way he has to teach her to be the indestructible force majeur the Master knows she is inside, he needs to teach her to harness her very own powers, he certainly has to teach her about men. Along the way he comes to care for her as she does for him ... Whilst she teaches him what it means to be compassionate, he teaches her how to manipulate stubborn authoritarian systems that are run by Comittees. It turns out that NYSSA is the key to unlocked doors in the Master's mind and hearts, doors to rooms dusty, full of cobwebs and memories so painful they may actually kill him...
Patients mysteriously begin to die the moment the Master steps foot on the Planet and Nyssa finds it hard to believe he has nothing to do with it.
Inbetween the confusion of feelings, alibi's provided by the TARDIS, and other factors can Nyssa become the woman the Master believes her to be, or will she always be Last Maiden of Traken? A girl who will always be out of her depth amongst intrigues and plots? As she begins to rely on the Master Nyssa changes him as she begins to affect him,
The problem is the Master COULD BE the root cause of the problem! Though, if he is, then why are peoples wishes coming true? What possible motive could the Master have for that? What is the drug that she and her patients have been drinking?
Who is that man that Nyssa seems to trust and why does he keep making the hairs on the back of the Masters head stand on end?

In a faraway constellation of Canis Major , a superior intelligence exists. It's form unknown. Scientist Ira has always known it for they spoke to her, inviting her to visit. One day Ira notes a signal coming from the between the space of the twin stars of Sirius. She responds back inviting the intelligence to visit the earth, specially her. The intelligence whom she refers as Sirius starts to speak to her, visit her in her dreams and often take over her body in experiences she did not believe possible. Jan warns her detecting her changes and reminding her earth is home and he could give her a future together but attracted as she is to him, she is unstoppable in her quest of the twin stars of Sirius. Then one day Jan knocks on her door, yet this was not her boss she knew. This was a man with deep understanding of space and wormholes and her. He extends his hand for a travel through time and space, assuring nothing but an experience of her deepest wish, galactic travel through the worm holes. But once on the planet between the two Sirius es, Ira realises this Jan was a shape shifter, she does not recognise him or know if he was the same man from her work. She however knows an earthly being like her would never survive there. As Jan reveals himself as the Prime Advisor of the planet, ruthless about everything but the survival of the planet and its people, he chains her literally to his side. In her mind comes the warning he will literally absorb her life and then discard her is a barren space. Desperate she tries to jump into the worm hole only to realise that the twin stars created a mirage worm hole had pushed her further into the abyss of nothingness where not even one star was in sight. Desperate she asks for assistance. Yet when it appears would she be able to accept it.
