Britain is divided as war between the feudal Celtic lords of Scotland and the noblemen of England grips the northlands. Along the border between the two warring factions lies Bayloroch, an estate owned by Darach Murtaugh, a minor Scottish noble sworn to Alexander, King of Scots. Faced with the growing conflict, Lord Murtaugh must now determine where his loyalties lie: with his own king and his Scottish pride, or with the ever-tempting offers of protection and safety for him and his family as a subject of the English King Harold. Will Darach accept the English King as his sovereign, or remain loyal and true to the Red Lion of Scotland?

Tony Harmsworth has been involved in presenting Scottish History to the public for nearly forty years. The Fort Augustus exhibition was the largest private exhibition ever to have been staged in Scotland. In addition he has run tour businesses specialising in presenting the most interesting aspects to the history of Scotland. While doing this his tours became the first four star tour in the Highlands, the first five star tour in Scotland and the tours he was operating at his retirement had become number one on Trip Advisor for the whole of Scotland. It was suggested he take some of the stories he uses during his tours and put them into a book. THIS is that book. All the bloodiest Scottish history from the stone age through to the first Scottish Independence Referendum. This book takes you through the entire history of Scotland in chronological order so that you don't just learn about, say, Mary Queen of Scots, but also how she came to become a divisive figure and what lead up to the Jacobite uprisings of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. Chattan Bride

29 parts Complete Mature

READERS' FAVORITE FIVE STAR AWARD WINNER - As the daughter of a strong English baron, Isabel is compelled by peace negotiations to become the child-bride of the enemy, the powerful, handsome and fierce Scottish Laird of the Chattan clan, Alysandir. Her youth and his distaste for a marriage alliance with his enemy render her strenuous efforts to win the approval of her husband almost futile. Even though she failed him in a hopelessly complex situation, why would he allow his former fiancé to get away at an attempt to kill her? When her dying father calls her home to England, she is forced to be braver than her years as her exiled, murderous half-brother, Gilbert, attempts to wrest control of Bamborough Castle, their family home, from her father, who was determined to never allow Gilbert the inheritance. Could Alysandir, her wizened warrior husband soften her battle-hardened heart, protect her from her treacherous half-brother and win back her love? Growing up amid the border wars taught Isabel to be strong, cautious and adaptable. Fighting in those wars made Alysandir inflexible, distrustful but patient and brave. Could he secure his lands and keep his new bride safe from those who wished to harm her, or even protect her from herself? After breaking her, could he gather her back to himself and teach her to trust him before her half-brother and brother-in-law kill her over a piece of borderland?
