His faces flashes with regret but it's quickly covered up with his faces going back to it's hard cold look. I feel my heart stop and my face go pale. His look terrified me making me hold my breath. "Breath." He orders. I start to breathe again and just blink at him. "Now go." He orders me again. I flinch involuntarily at his tone and jump back slightly. "Please don't let me walk home alone." I beg in a quiet voice, looking down at my feet. The next thing I see are his black combat boots right in front of my shoes. I look up into his eyes and he looks down into mine confusion written all over his face. "How come you aren't running yet?" He questions searching my eyes. "I just can't walk home alone, please I'm scared." I hear him chuckle. "You aren't afraid of me? What can possibly be scarier than me?" He asks. "Well, I know you will keep me safe." "Why is that?" Geovanni Have you ever gotten that feeling that somebody was watching you? And that person who was watching you wasn't normal. I have felt that way all of my life; but then again I felt as if I went missing nobody would even notice or care I was gone. I am 23 and just graduated from college. I watched her as she slept. In fact I have been watching her since she was born. I have waited half a century to find that one person. I think I have finally settled on her. She was my choice. I know. After being in as many relationships as I have you know things. I felt my fangs tingle. Her blood smelled so sweet. Her heartbeat was steady and strong. I took my tongue and ran it across my fang. The temptation to indulge in her red liquid was far too strong. I let out a low growl and jumped out her window. I was ready for a hunt. "Did you see her Jordan?" "Yes, and tomorrow night you will turn her," "Why do I have to turn her?" In the darkness of her dreams, she saw herself standing at a window looking down below, only to see a misting, swirling fog. She could not see the ground and did not know how far down it was. She had no idea where she was. Soon after, she was led down a dark hallway to a room with a large altar. She felt herself being lifted up and then placed back down on the hard stone surface. Now all she could see was a large man, holding a knife in his hands, with the sharp edge pointed directly over her heart...Then a different man with deep blue eyes was looking down at her, and his hand was caressing her face, telling her everything was going to be ok. A loud bang on the door made her startle and rise up. There, coming through the door, were several large angry men, dressed strangely in what looked like animal furs and carrying ominous looking weapons. Some had clubs with sharp objects attached to the ends and others had sharp axes and swords. She could hear her own screams escaping from her lips, and she opened her eyes to notice she was lying in her bed in the safety of her room in the convent where she lived. She was still trembling and had to tell herself it was just a dream. She was safe and no one would ever be able to hurt her.Complete

I don't get it. I really don't. I died, I get that much. But waking up in a dark and squishy place, with absolutely NO ROOM to move, I DON'T GET. Let's recap. It was a regular day. I got up, ate, showered and went to work. I was a police officer. I was checking out a house call about domestic abuse. I didn't even get to knock on the door before a man bursted out screaming at a women about calling the pigs on him.
