"Could you stop banging on your door, I don't think it's going to open." I hear Lucas's voice from across the lawn.
"Well I'm sorry. I don't have the key and nobody's home right now." I glare at him but I know he won't be able to tell because it's dark out.
"Oh, now isn't that a problem..." He sighs and I can see him looking up at the sky. "Guess that just means you'll have to stay at my house."
I mean he's just my new neighbor, what could go wrong? "Yeah. Okay, thanks."
"Oh man! I just forgot... We don't have a guest bedroom." He looks at me with a smirk. "I guess you'll be staying in mine."
Riley's dad gets the promotion he's always wanted but one problem, it's in Florida and they live in Texas.
