But what happens if it doesn't?

On her way, she finds that her best friend is about to die from the ink.  she makes it back in time, and is able to say goodbye. 

weeks go by, and madaline discovers that something is wrong.

Some could be a star, a flower, a yinyang, a fish, or even waves. There are so many people that the symbols are almost limitless. The tattoos don't care about gender or number. There could be gay matches, and there could even be polyamorous matches. The tattoos will tingle when you are near to your sm. And they will glow if you have found only one of your sm's if your match was poly. The trick is, you don't get the tattoo until you are 16.
