Equestria Prevails When the Strong Survive

(Like a book series called the Unwanteds, but you don't need to read it to understand this story)
In Equestria all thirteen year olds must be divided into three categories: The Smart, who go to university for four years; The Strong ones, who get scholarships and royal guard duty; and The Departed, who have been caught doing magic, drawing, or anything fun at all!

Twilight Sparkle has been caught doing magic, five times, and her brother Shining Armor and his wife the Mayor, of Equestria (it's a town in this) Cadence, don't know how to break it to her.
Twilight soon finds being a Departed is quite fun, you can do magic, flying, drawing, when ever you want, all thanks to the wizard, Discord. But there is a price to pay, one that her brother would kill to avoid. A weapon stronger then strong, and smarter then smart.
