Making Myself (Mature Content)

When I was younger, my mom would always say "my childs future, is greater than my own happiness. I know you will go far Jellybean". She would stroke my wavy locks that were often a jumbled mess upon my head and would kiss my forehead. That was before dad was taken by a drunk driver. Everything after that goes down hill. If my mom could see me now, I dont think she would be to happy. A barista who works night and a mother of four year old Nicholas by day. I never went to college like my mother hoped, I never made something of myself. Until I ran into you.
