After 97 years since humanity fled to space due to a nuclear war that rendered Earth uninhabitable, 100 juvenile teens-whose crimes have made them expendable-are sent to test its habitability, as the life-support resources in the space station, the Ark, are dwindling. Or Aspen Valet had been anticipating for the day she'd turn 18 and the Council would float her for her crimes, only to find herself aboard a dropship with 99 other delinquents heading towards Earth. Tensions run high, trust is scarce, and survival is far from guaranteed. Thrown into a world none of them understand, the hundred must decide what's more dangerous-the Earth beneath their feet, or each other. Survival isn't a given. After her 21st birthday, which marked her fourth year in the Skybox, the council made a decision. They were going to send 100 delinquents to the ground as an experiment to see whether the level of radiation was survivable or not. In doing so, they managed to sentence almost all of them to an untimely death that was almost inevitable. With the idea of freedom, Hailey knows that she is never safe and that if weaknesses are shown, someone will use them against her. Will she be able to overcome her emotional and mental walls, even if it means that she'd be vulnerable? Being on the ground will change Hailey in ways that the people on the ark would never expect. She will find a better version of herself. Hailey will become what she was always meant to be, a warrior.
