They claim that everyone with magic are dangerous witches and that they should be separated from the rest of society, leaving Inverno and millions of others with and without magic, in fear for their lives.

BOOK 2 After chaos destroyed, America fell into pandemonium and there was no communication with the U.S. After a pandemic crisis on the East coast, most civilization was abandoned near the Atlantic Ocean. After that, the world slowly began to fall to pieces and almost every country made a scramble to figure a way to make space travel easier so they could colonize a planet. But a new leader came out of the ashes and proclaimed they would consider the apocalypse a "rebirth" and proceeded (with his advanced engineering) to clear radioactivity from America and make it livable again. With the help of his crew, he builds a high security city and begins to build out past the east coast. Shortly after he rebuilds NY, he disappears and his advisor rises to power. He is a fair but cruel master (calling himself a Lord) and some people refuse to work for him. These people manage to escape the oppression of the Lord and live out on the wasteland that was once a great country. Some band together to make right communities and others rough it out by themselves, scavenging for a living.

The world had been full of chaos, environmental crises, and political unrest, but no one could have predicted that a far greater shift was about to occur, one that would change the very foundation on Earth. The first tremors were small, almost undetectable at first with an unnatural calmness in the atmosphere. Scientists, meteorologists, and geologists all dismissed the occurrences as anomalies, explanations rooted in the complexities of the Earth's natural cycles. But soon, things began to change when the skies turned a shade of violet in certain regions, and strange patterns of energy began to be detected around the planet. Deep within the Earth's core, a rise of energy had been awakened. Mana, a mystical force that had once existed only in the realms of ancient mythology or in fictional media, began to leak into the world, reshaping ecosystems, awakening ancient forces, and rewriting the laws of evolution. Now with the resurgence of Mana, Earth underwent an irreversible transformation and change from what we had originally known. Humans, animals, and even the very land itself adapted. Superhumans appeared, wielding godlike power, while mutant creatures threatened to reclaim the world for nature. World Governments scrambled to contain the chaos, leading to military conflicts, secret experiments, and uneasy alliances. From the rise of the first Superhumans that could split mountains to the monstrous creatures that could burn cities, every event was documented, through news reports, military logs, classified interviews, and firsthand accounts. In this new era of brutal race for survival, the only certainty is that power comes at a cost. A New Dark Age on Earth had begun.

The year was 2157 when Earth crumbled and governments fell. Most living things died and their was a silence on earth that was deafening. The first particles of disease fell in North America in the Spring of 2157 and began to scatter and mutate into virus and bacteria. Bombs sailed through cities leveling Government buildings, business and residential. Historians call this period Decay. Ricin poisoning and nerve gases were released. Citizens began to fall ill and die quickly. Later historians found out that a few middle east countries, China and Russia poisoned all food with Ricin. The food was then shipped to US, Canada, UK, many European countries. This period is only known as "Decay' Some humans survived. Either from paranoia or luck, so the stories go. The paranoid ones were waiting for the first signs of a fallout and when it began they hid in their underground 'storage containers'. These were completely sealed once someone closed the door. The doors were automated and within 2 to 5 years depending on the setting chosen the doors would automatically open. The history of the 'lucky ones' is that they knew someone who had a container and welcomed them, or they hid in the container until the family that owned it got in and sealed the door. And hope they would not be killed for trespassing. Now it is 2243. The world has drastically changed. In this world the 'Owners' and 'Potentials' rule the 'communities'. Guards police, keeping communities separated. The Powers rule over what was once called North America now simply called East Nation North (ENN). Superiors handle their community they are assigned to. Under the Powers, Superiors, Water Protectors, Guards, owners and potentials come the animal breeders next on the hierarchy. Then the last three levels don't really matter to anyone. Those are the baby breeders, slaves and throwaways. They have no say in anything.
