Skye Mackenzie ruled Redwood Prep - a prestigious school only for the wealthy - like a queen. She was known by all, loved by many, yet hated by hundreds. The once quiet transferee from Junior year was now known as the most perfect girl, the epitome of perfection. In short, Skye was a pretentious and preppy girl. A typical cliche. During her final year in Redwood, she meets Ford Daniels, the former ruler of Redwood Prep, making a comeback from more than a year of absence. Later on - because of Ford himself - Skye starts to question her way of living, and even herself. Was this the real Skye Mackenzie? Or worse, will this all she will ever be? Skye soon finds herself being drawn to Ford, who spends most of his nights with her - invisible to everyone's eyes. This scared Skye, terrified that he may know something even she won't admit to herself. Her biggest secret. Turns out, Ford has kept a secret of his own that he makes sure he keeps safe, even if it means staying away from the girl he has loved from the start, who he thought was just another version of his misery. Will they finally tell their separate tales of agony? Or will the continue becoming shackled to their fears? Will they forever be the broken ones?
